The material is reinforced through observing the process of a DVD being filmed to aid learners of German. The DVD works on multiple levels: The students watch actors playing a role for learners of beginning German using caretaker's language. In the second part, the students watch the same actors as they go about their daily lives, using much of the same structures in an authentic setting at the normal rate of speech.
