Audio-CDs for Textbook: The audio material which accompanies the textbook features songs, conversations, pronunciation exercises and dialogues. The students learn to distinguish between targeted listening for information and listening for meaning in short and stimulating segments.
Workbook: The workbook has English directions for homework assignments and a review section of the grammatical features of each chapter. Students can monitor their own progress in short self-tests at the end of each chapter.
Audio-CD for Workbook: The audio-CD features listening comprehension exercises for additional practice.
Glossary: While the textbook incorporates an alphabetical German-English word list in the back of the book, the glossary lists the vocabulary in the order in which it appears in each given chapter. The list distinguishes between active and passive vocabulary, and features 40 learning strategies in English.
Intensive Trainer: The Intensive Trainer is an additional exercise book for remedial work focusing on the practice of vocabulary and grammatical structures.
CD-ROM: The CD-ROM is an integral part of the program: It makes it possible for the teacher to differentiate and accommodate the various learners and their different aptitudes. The CD-ROM features stimulating and varied interactive exercises.
DVD: The DVD is not only a film to be watched passively, but functions as a blue print for our students to produce their own video clips: The geni@l DVD was made by a group of German students who are in a video club at their school. The clips can then be reproduced by our own students.
Videotrainer: The Videotrainer accompanies the DVD with listening comprehension exercises.
Teacher's Manual: The teacher's manual has the entire transcripts for the audio material as well as answer key and additional suggestions and explanations for the given chapters.
Test Book: The testing material consists of tests with listening comprehension material on the accompanying CD.
Online Exercises: The online exercises are linked to authentic web pages which refelct the topics of the given chapters.
TPRS™ Supplement: This series of stories contains one short and one long story for each chapter in the textbook. Each story begins with a vocabulary list, continues with illustrations of the story, and concludes with the story itself. While the material lends itself to the TPRS™ methodology, it is not restricted to it and can be used as additionsl reading material or prompts for intercommunicative activities.
