The topics cover such areas as: A short history of the 20th century, religions in Germany, language, and famous Germans, as well as topics such as the environment, the social network, educational structures, the work environment etc. Each chapter contains suggestions for further research and projects. The cross-cultural approach enables the learner to reflect upon his/her own experience and viewpoints and thus furthers the intercultural competence of the learner.
